Acquisition of Sherbet London’s electric fleet

Hanway Commercial supports Sherbet  London’s Acquisition of their new West London Taxi Centre for its expanding electric fleet.

Sherbet Hero

The London Electric Taxi co is one of the only fully electric, eco-friendly taxi companies operating in London. The business is focused on accelerating the transition to greener, safer urban transport while helping to build a more sustainable future for passengers, taxi drivers, communities, and smart cities.

London, UK – January 2026 – Hanway Commercial is pleased to have advised Sherbet as the company acquires their new LEVC Authorised Flagship Sherbet West London Taxi Centre, marking a significant milestone in Sherbet’s continued expansion of its all-electric taxi fleet. The company has set out plans to scale its existing fleet of around 550 vehicles to 3,000 cabs within three years thanks to recent investment.

From carrying out our initial search, we were able to identify the opportunity at Kew Bridge Distribution Centre, which is owned by CBRE Global Investors and home to the likes of Porsche and Audi. The site is strategically located with fantastic visibility owing to its proximity to M4/A4 ‘flyover’ along the Great West Road, which will provide fast access for Sherbet’s fleet into to Central London.

The new Flagship West London facility will serve as a dedicated LEVC authorised maintenance, servicing centre for Sherbet’s growing number of electric vehicles, with the aim of brining a flagship level of service to the capital’s professional drivers with a facility purpose-built for speed, quality, and complete taxi care.

Beyond servicing, this site is being developed as a core EV operations hub, with infrastructure designed to support current electric fleets and future mobility requirements.

Hanway Commercial played a key role in supporting the acquisition, providing commercial property expertise from identifying the property to ensuring the best possible commercial terms were negotiated along with managing time scales. We hope their new facility meets Sherbet’s geographical and operational requirements while providing room for future growth. Sherbet West London Taxi Centre’s strategical location in relation to their existing facilities in Putney and Camden, will also provide enhanced driver experience, improve vehicle turnaround times, enhance fleet reliability, and support the increasing demand for zero-emission taxi services across the capital.

Oliver Hartley, Director at Hanway Commercial, said:

“We are proud to support a brand like Sherbet in securing their important new West London Taxi Centre. Sherbet is leading the way in the transition to electric taxis in London, and this acquisition provides the infrastructure needed to sustain their rapid growth. It’s a strong example of how the right commercial property can enable long- term operational success.”

Jacob Moses, Managing Director at Sherbet London, added:

“Our new Sherbet West London Taxi Centre is a major step forward not just for Sherbet, but for how London’s taxi industry is supported. With Hanway Commercial’s support and acquisition expertise, we’ve secured a site that is set to become a purpose-built flagship facility which is designed around professional drivers, electric vehicles, and operational excellence. From authorised LEVC servicing and MOT capability to faster turnaround, higher capacity, and future-ready infrastructure, this site gives us the platform to scale responsibly while raising standards across the capital.”

The facility is expected to become fully operational in the coming months and will support both existing and future electric vehicles as Sherbet accelerates its expansion plans, while continuing to deliver reliable, zero-emission transport across London.

It was a pleasure working alongside James Newton at JLL who acted for CBRE Global Investors on the transaction.
