Hanway advise LHV Bank on relocation and new premises in City of London

In 2020 Hanway Commercial was appointed to advise LHV on the relocation of their London HQ out of flexible workspace and into conventionally leased space in the City of London.

LHV wanted a new office in a building with the wow factor and following a comprehensive search of the market and engaging with our strong network of Landlords and Agents, we were able to identify a fantastic suite in the very impressive Angel Court, Bank.

The building, which was redeveloped by Mitsui Fudosan in 2017, is a 24 storey tower providing panoramic views over London, a business lounge, roof garden and other excellent amenities for its Tenants. We found the opportunity before it reached the wider market and the transaction was completed quickly amidst the height of the pandemic in early 2021.

Later that year LHV reached out again and instructed Hanway Commercial to identify and acquire expansion space to support their very ambitious growth plans. Working with Mitsui Fudosan and their disposing agent BH2, we were able to secure an additional floor in the building in an off market transaction which increased LHV’s take up by 250%. Using our market expertise and leveraging our network we were able to again deliver and fulfil the requirements of our client who is now settled into an excellent institutional grade office ready for the next phase of their growth.

As part of both processes, we worked with an excellent team of service providers all contributing to delivering our respective client their new and expanded London HQ. These included solicitors, building consultants and a design and build outfit who assisted LHV at various parts of the process.
