HanwayCommercial Acquisition of Biomels New Production Facility 1024x1024

Biomel is a plant-based gut health brand focused on creating functional, dairy-free products designed to support digestive health and wellbeing. As demand for its products continues to grow, the business requires a new production facility that could support its operational needs and ESG requirements.

Hemel Hempstead, UK, 2025 – Hanway Commercial is pleased to have advised Biomel on the acquisition of its new production facility at DC11, Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead, marking an important step in the company’s continued expansion.

We were instructed to acquire a new production facility that would enable Biomel to facilitate its rapid growth and support the company’s future strategy.

Following an initial search based on Biomel’s requirements, we identified and presented a number of suitable options that met the client’s budget, operational and locational needs.

After reviewing the available opportunities, the newly constructed DC11 unit at Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead was identified as the preferred option. The unit comprises 20,547 sq ft and provides a high-quality production facility within a well-established logistics and industrial location.

The building also aligned strongly with Biomel’s ESG requirements, featuring a rooftop solar array estimated to generate 49,000 kWh annually. The unit has also achieved an EPC A+ rating and BREEAM Outstanding certification, supporting the client’s sustainability objectives while providing a modern and efficient operational base.

Hanway Commercial played a key role in supporting the acquisition, from carrying out the initial property search and identifying suitable options, through to negotiating terms on behalf of Biomel and ensuring the legal process ran smoothly between both parties.

The new facility will support Biomel’s continued growth, providing the company with the space, efficiency and flexibility required to meet increasing demand while supporting its long-term business strategy.
